The miniature sculptures seen in this bracelet are called, "Cameo".
Cameo is a method of carving an object such as an engraved gem or item of jewellery. It nearly always features a raised relief image. Originally the relief image was of a contrasting colour to the background. An artist, usually an engraver, carves a small portrait, then makes a cast from the carving from which a ceramic type cameo is produced. Our Cameo's are replicas of the orignal ones made from resin. This design lets 2 worlds come together, creating a unique piece.
